This is near the place I stay... called Hakazaki-cho in Chuo-ku... well, it's not really an interesting place, but I really like the lines zigzagging through the air... I mean the highways and stuff. This is the Tokyo I've always imagined... like my version of picture postcard Tokyo. Haha.

Well, to update... the minute I got off the plane at Narita yesterday morning 750am, it was a whirlwind day. Ok, on the plane sitting beside me was an Indonesian man going to Tokyo for some kind of company training... well, he was friendly. I had to squeeze past him to get to toilet though. Should have reserved the aisle seat...

Anyway, so I lugged my ridiculously heavy luggage (should have packed less maybe, but I think it's fortunate I brought most of my favourite clothes cos I don't think I'm going shopping any time soon) and went to the ATM to draw money. Then, down to the JR station to get the Suica card. The girl at the counter asked me if I wanna buy it together with the NEX ticket which will bring me to Tokyo, so I did since the price is a kill, exclusively for foreigners. It's 4500 yen, 1500 for the NEX train ticket and 2000 for the Suica card which I will need anyway to travel around in Tokyo. Then, it started in earnest, the whirlwind day. Because the next NEX train leaves in seven minutes, and if I can't catch that I would have to board one hour later, which is

Anyway, I'm distracted because right now in the living room (which is where I am) the TV's showing a programme with hosts and guests discussing China, like how's the standard of living in China now? How many percentage have refrigerators etc. Well, it's quite funny how serious they look, the people in the show. As if they are so interested in those things. Anyway, in the living room too are my housemates, A guy from China and a guy from France. They are really really nice. They saved my day yesterday because when I first arrived it was another two housemates I met, one of which I thought was really obnoxious because he didn't even offer to help me with my luggage. I hate people like this. Anyway, that's ok. Don't care... the rest are really nice anyway. My room mate is ok, she's a 43-year-old French woman who does stuff like Judo and calligraphy and walks around the Sumida River at night... seriously I don't really get her but she's alright. Haha.

Ok, maybe I should make dinner too... oh cos the Chinese housemate is chopping up cucumbers now on the coffee table and I think maybe I should cook too, soon, cos my lunch was pathetic as I tried to make soba but it turned out really yucky, I think I overcooked it or something. Yikes. Nvm, it'll get better I think.

I'll update again...

and continue the whirlwind day account...

Tomorrow I'll start work!!

Good luck.

Take care, my friends!
