I just found out that Norwegian Wood is gonna be made into a film, coming out in 2010... I knew it, I knew one day this will happen... but, I really don't know if it can ever be transferred to film and still be the same story...
BUT, the protagonist Watanabe is gonna be played by Matsuyama Kenichi (famous for being L in Deathnote)... and that alone gives me a little reassurance... because he can do anything, I am convinced, after watching Sexyvoice and Robo and Zeni Geba... he can even do ridiculous roles like the one in Detroit Metal City... but really the way he did the money-crazed psychopath in Zeni Geba is phenomenally good. Crazily good. He is damn good.
If anyone can do Watanabe... if anyone can bring out the typical Murakami unsettled floating youth on the edge of the world and the brink of logic and sanity and all things normal, it would be this guy...

Hey... yup it's a book by Haruki Murakami... I only read the English translated version though...
This song is composed by the vocalist of Blankey Jet City... haha... it's really nice right...
